Who we are
SE NEXT is organised by Software Engineering Excellence S.A.R.L. (SE²). This page explains what we collect when you reserve a seat, why we collect it, and what you can ask us to do with it
What we collect and why
Your name, for your ticket and badge. Your email, to send your ticket and updates about the day. Your phone number, to reconfirm your seat two days before and to send day-of updates on WhatsApp
Your role or level, your company or university, and, if you tell us after reserving, how you heard about SE NEXT. We use these to plan the content and to show partners the audience mix as totals, never as individual records
Basic visit details, such as the link you arrived from, so we know which channels work. To stop spam we keep a scrambled (hashed) version of your IP address, never the address itself
How we use it
We use your details only to run SE NEXT. If you tick the updates box, we also send you news about future SE² events, and you can opt out at any time. We never sell your data
Photos and recording
The day is photographed and recorded. By attending, you accept that you may appear in photos and videos
Your seat
Every guest reserves their own seat. If you can't come, release your seat so someone on the waitlist can take it. Seats that aren't reconfirmed by Thursday, 19 November may be released to the waitlist. The agenda may change, and registered guests get the final times before the day
Deleting your data
Email next@se2.dev and we will delete your registration. We delete or anonymise registration data 12 months after the event and keep only aggregated numbers
